Brass Casings — All of Florida

Sell
Brass
Casings.

Spent brass casings are one of the more overlooked scrap sources in Florida. We buy once-fired and range brass from shooters, gun ranges and reloading operations by the pound - sorted or unsorted, a few coffee cans or a range's monthly haul.

What Counts As
Brass Casings

Knowing which grade you actually have is the difference between getting paid well and getting paid the mixed rate.

Once-Fired Brass
Clean grade
Spent casings fired once and not reloaded. Clean, uniform and the easiest brass to price.
Individual shooters and reloaders.
Bulk Range Brass
Volume
Mixed brass swept from a range floor. Various calibres and conditions together - we buy it as collected.
Gun ranges and sporting clubs.
Mixed Calibre
No sorting needed
You do not need to sort by calibre. Brass is brass for scrap purposes; the alloy is what we are buying.
Saves a lot of pointless work.
Steel & Aluminium Cases
Not brass
Steel and aluminium cases are not brass and price very differently. A magnet sorts steel out in seconds.
Worth a quick magnet pass first.

Brass Casings FAQ

Do you buy spent brass casings and range brass?
Yes. We buy once-fired and spent brass shell casings, and bulk range brass, from Florida shooters, gun ranges and reloaders - by the pound, for scrap value. Sorted or unsorted. Whether it is a few coffee cans or a range's monthly haul, we will quote a fair scrap price and can arrange pickup for larger quantities.
Do I need to sort casings by calibre?
No. For scrap purposes brass is brass - the alloy is what we are paying for, not the headstamp. The one thing worth doing is running a magnet over the pile to pull out steel cases, which are not brass and price completely differently.
How much are brass casings worth per pound?
Casings price as yellow brass and move with the copper market, since brass is a copper-zinc alloy. Call or text 813-845-4168 for today's number - casing price is a grade we quote regularly.
Is it legal to sell spent brass casings for scrap in Florida?
Yes. Selling spent brass casings for their scrap-metal value is entirely legal. As with all non-ferrous purchases in Florida, we record a valid photo ID and the transaction details as state law requires.
